The Inherent Fallacies of Socialism

Conservatives well understand the shortcomings of socialism, and have been fighting against efforts of American liberals to move the US even closer to a socialist state.

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher put it succinctly when she noted that “the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money,” which is how socialism works; taking from some and giving to others.

The late Dr. Adrian Rogers, a pastor and conservative writer also had some pertinent observations about socialism. Dr. Rogers enumerated four principles about socialism that are so plainly sensible that one wonders how any intelligent human being can fail to understand them. He said that:

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for but not receive.

The government cannot give to anybody anything the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply the wealth by dividing it.

Most, though not all, of those who support socialist principles are people who have not worked for and earned anything, and/or who feel that the world owes them something. These people have a dramatic misunderstanding of the American ideal, do not accept personal responsibility for their own lives, or lack the courage to try to succeed in life.

They seem to be a growing faction in the United States today, and will eventually be the downfall of a once great nation.

A system supporting entitlement classes that languish without earning while enjoying leisure class benefits, will result in a majority of people having little or no personal stake in real progress or just too many without any drive to improve.
The majority will be observed leaning upon the productive minority. Such a system enables eventual stagnation of all initiative towards innovation and productivity--even collapse. Sound familiar?

Link all, so called progressive, States in trade with dictator States earning unconscionable profits from taxation of their own corporate or working class( the surf classes)--so called developing countries--you get world wide stagnation and summary depletion of world resources--Consumerism and quasi-capitalism spiraling into zero growth and stagflation. Worldwide collapse Sound familiar?

Socialism may work in small, tight, local, Stone Age forager or trading and farming collectives, where the community has power over the individual. But may never work in a World Order with elite ruling classes.

Without inspired, inside-out ethics and adequate restraints on power and corruption within the governing class you get a class dedicated to corruption.

A representative US constitutional republic is the only format that has a chance, and then a republic needs to be clearly understood, accepted universally, and supported without intimidation or dogma, but maintained by logical education and personal initiative.

Sound difficult? We get what we work or labor for, or what we ignore or allow to exist. And that is ultimately what we ultimately deserve!
